A two-day get together opened up the project and its work plan among partners and the funding authority of STEMFORYOUTH, the European Commission.
Our kick off meeting took place in the capital of Poland, Warsaw, the location of the project coordinating institute, the Politechnic University of Warsaw.
The inaugural Kick-Off Conference was held at the Faculty of Physics of the Warsaw University of Technology in Warsaw, Poland and was officially opened by the faculty’s Dean prof. Mirosław Karpierz and ran by the project’s technical manager Mr. Mirosław Brzozowy with the support from his staff. The project officer, Dr. Maria Korda from the Research Executive Agency (REA) of the European Commission, also joined the meeting to warmly greet the participants and provide some additional insights into regulations and current policies in STEM education. 10 partners from 6 different countries introduced each other and brainstormed for 2 days on the next action items for this new adventure, which just started.
